You will recall that the first of the Lockdown Challenges that Ros set us was a self-portrait. Mine was a wearily sad one of just how I was feeling as Lockdown had started.
Well, would you believe it, along with 15 others it has been selected out of 4,000 entries for the finals of the King Lear Challenge.
Apparently Shakespeare wrote King Lear at the time of The Plague. Gyles Brandreth was one of the instigators of this project and there were so many entries it has taken this long to make the final selection. This was drawn with charcoal, pastel and coloured pencils. I don’t think it will get any further.
