Acrylic Adventures

The Society runs a fortnightly Inspiration session once a month on a Tuesday pm and a fortnightly Oil Painting session. The Inspiration sessions may involve demonstrations by a variety of professional artists who cover a range of styles and subjects using  materials and mediums including oils, watercolour, acrylic, pastels, graphite, pen and ink. Come along to our Acrylic Adventures workshop where you can express your creativity using acrylic paints. Learn different techniques, experiment with colours, and create beautiful acrylic artwork. Join us and explore the exciting world of acrylics.

Our second portrait group of the week, this time a little bit later on in the day for those that might want to get together and practice portraiture in the afternoon instead.

We boast some very successful artists as well as gifted amateur and there is no level of would be artist who would be excluded or feel out of place in an atmosphere of mutual learning, help, sharing of ideas and materials and friendly socialisation.

Every 4th Friday of the month we hold our life drawing sessions, where you can refine your artistic skills and explore the human form. Our professional models create a relaxed and inspiring atmosphere, ensuring a productive and enriching experience.

Complete beginners are welcome and will need to bring a Drawing Board, Paper (as large as practical, A2) and a light folding easel is helpful, and Charcoal.
